Tan Xuguang posted Weichai Power’s 2021 report card at the press conference, with an annual revenue of 203.548 billion yuan, an increase of 3.17% over the previous year, and a net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies of 9.255 billion yuan, an increase of 0.28% over the previous year. Among them, Weichai Power Electric Engine has significant advantages in all fields of the whole series, and the proportion of non-road engines in total sales increased by 5.3 percentage points to 34.4%, maintaining the first place in the industry in the markets of loaders, cranes and bulldozers; Seizing the opportunity of upgrading emission standards, China VI engine sales ranked first in the industry, with heavy-duty truck engine sales of 429,000 units, and its market share increased by 2.8 percentage points year-on-year to 30.7%.

Tan Xuguang introduced that Weichai preemptively laid out in the fuel cell industry chain, weichai power has invested in the United Kingdom’s Syris, Canada’s Ballard, Germany’s Odds, etc., to build a “battery + motor + electronic control” as one of the new energy powertrain. Weichai Power has strategically joined hands with The Swiss Flying Group and laid out the fuel cell air compressor business in China. So far, Weichai Power has laid out two technical directions of SOFC and PEM at the same time, reserves a series of key components such as stacks and systems, motors, electronic controls, air compressors, etc., and has the research and development and production capacity of new energy powertrains and core components, forming an industrial ecosystem from hydrogen production to vehicles.
“We are developing the layout of the hydrogen fuel cell field, everyone knows that the state released the future development strategy layout of fuel cells, we finished the layout 5 years ago, we do not speculate on the concept, we are the only one in the world with the largest production capacity (20,000 units of production capacity), the only one that has run through the real 30,000 kilometers, no energy attenuation, and the only industrial chain layout is the most cutting-edge, with batteries, air compressors, stack batteries and other layouts.” Our industrial chain layout is the layout that we will do for the next 5, 10 or even 20 years.
